Shipping

We do ship, at the buyer's expense, within the U.S . The total cost for the carrier, vet certificate and airline fee is listed below for coast to coast within the states is between $250.00 and $300.00.

We use Continental's Pet Safe Program whenever possible. We feel they are the best airline because they have a heated/air conditioned van that meets all planes, so the animal is not subjected to hot or cold temperature fluctuations. http://cargo.cocargo.com/cargo/news/?type=news&id=88

The cost is usually $160.00 for under 9 lbs, and $191.00 for anything over (always subject to change by the airline). There is a $55.00 cost for the health certificate from the vet, if a rabies vaccine is required, that cost is $9.00, and the carrier cost is $25.00. Other airlines are running about $191.00 with a fuel surcharge.

If Continental does not fly pressurized cargo into your airport then an alternative will be found. All other airlines are subject to temperature restrictions, and the cost usually starts  at $189.00 for 9 lbs.

Payment must be made 5-10 days before your kitty is ready to go or deposit will be forfeited and kitten will be re-sold.
If for some reason you cannot take delivery of the kitten on the date it is due to arrive, a $10.00 a day boarding fee will be charged to continue care until you are ready to receive your kitten.
We need that 5-10 days after payment is made to make all the arrangements to get your kitten on the plane.

Deposits

We expect a $100.00 deposit to hold your kitten, if purchasing a pet, 1/3 of the amount if you're
purchasing a show kitten. You may make that thru Paypal.
Whether you're interested in pet, breeder or show, if you would
like to get a kitten from us, we may ask you to provide references,
and sign a contract of sale. We reserve the right to refuse the sale
of any of our cats or kittens to anyone, at any time, for any or no reason.
Your deposit IS A CONTRACT and made in good
faith. If you place a
deposit on a cat or kitten, that is your commitment to that animal, and
your agreement to these terms. If you decide for any reason to not take
that kitten from our home, you may use that deposit towards another
kitten, but it is NOT REFUNDABLE. If these terms are not acceptable
to you, please don't inquire. If you change your mind your deposit will be considered
payment for board, new advertising, and time spent.

Your kitten remains available until the money is received but will be
marked "reserved" as soon as the deposit is received and "sold" when paid in full.
Kittens stay here until they are 10 weeks old.

We do not show them before they are vaccinated and ready to go. (Please don't ask) We know you all
want healthy babies and we do our best to make that happen and letting everyone
touch and hold them makes that impossible. Remember they are babies! Thanks so
much in your understanding of this.
When they are ready to leave they will have had their first vaccines, and be litter trained.

To make the transition and acclimation period an easier, less stressful on for your new Persian kitten, it is back to the same saying, those who fail to plan, plan to fail. It is recommended that you purchase these items in advance of bringing your new Persian kitten home.

Food - It is best to keep your new kitten on the same kind of food he/she is accustom to eating as well as feeding times and frequencies.  A change in diet can cause digestive upsets which can result in vomiting and/or diarrhea.  It is recommended that you do not change the diet of a new kitten.  In the event you choose to change the diet of your new kitten, do it slowly over time, give your new kitten time to acclimate to his/her surroundings and get settled.  Diet change is not recommended for the first year. At Heavenly Purrs, we free feed Royal Canin Kitten to our kittens and Royal Canin Persian to our adult Persians.  We also feed a combination of ground sirloin and Nutro MaxCat kitten canned food twice a day.  Slight changes in flavor of canned food can even cause digestive upsets.

Litter Box - Whether you choose to use a covered or uncovered litter box there are things to consider.  A covered litter box prevents litter from being distributed throughout the room due to a kitten who is a vigorous digger.  A covered litter box gives the kitten the privacy to do their business without an audience.  Bear in mind, kittens are like children, when the urge to go hits them, they gotta go.  One litter box per room is recommended for the first few weeks then one per floor for homes of multi-levels.  Show your new kitten where the litter boxes are, and put your new kitten in the litter box.  Keep their food in an area separate from the litter box.

Some people even train their cats to use the toilet, and some have even learned to flush!

Cat Litter - It is best not to make any immediate changes for your new kitten, cat litter is no exception.  Whether you choose to use the standard clay litter or the clumpable/scoopable litter is up to you, the better question is, "will my kitten use the litter box if I change litter?"
At Heavenly Purrs, we use litter crystals. Any brand is fine and can be found at your local pet store or grocery store. If you want to switch do so slowly so the kitten won't become confused.

Toys - Toys are a great way to entertain your new kitten.  Toys for kittens should be thought of as toys for babies.  If a toy has moving parts, strings or parts that will come off easily, it may not be safe for your new baby kitten.  Toys with strings are a hazard, shoe strings, tinsel, lace, ribbon, yarn and thread are not safe.  Items that can be easily swallowed invite trouble and a trip to the emergency room for surgical removal.

Kitty condos - Just like humans, cats and kittens desire to have a place to call their own.  A kitty condo is a great place for your kitty to escape from the household chaos for a quick cat nap.  Giving a kitten a place to call their own is also a great way to help a child set boundaries as to when not to bother the kitty.

Scratching posts or trees - Many cat owners misunderstand scratching behavior.  Owners often ask "how do I keep my cat from scratching?  The best answer is not to stop them from scratching, but rather re-direct it.  Cats scratch for three main reasons. Physical things happen when a cat scratches, from exercise and stretching to conditioning the claws, but most importantly, cats are marking their territory. I think wood is the best because it is not wise to teach them to use carpet or upholstery since this is what your furniture and flooring are made of.
I think these are the best,

Cat Carrier - When selecting a cat carrier, bear in mind your kitten is going to grow.  A cat carrier can be a plain plastic (hard sided) or a soft sided carrier.  The thing you want to remember is to allow enough room for your kitten to sit upright, stand upright and turn around.  Always place a towel or some absorbent soft material on the bottom. There are some on this page that are my favorites:

Always place the carrier in the back seat since airbags can crush them, and remember to buckle the carrier in!

Collars - Persian cats should not wear collars, as the fur can get tangled and it will destroy the ruff.

If your cat drags it's ruff thru the drinking water, you may want to try having her drink from a water bottle, they are trained to this before leaving here. http://bottlebabies.com/

Vitamins - we recommend
Pawier http://pawier.com/

Discipline - no smacking, we use only a spray water bottle, after a while you only have to pick it up to be effective.
